How to choose a bike for a kid?

Kids’ bikes are sized differently from adult bikes. Instead of frame height or length, children’s bikes are measured by wheel size. The chart below provides a general guide to help you find the right fit for your child. Keep in mind that taller children may be able to move up to a larger wheel size, but bigger bikes often introduce new features—such as multiple gears and hand brakes instead of coaster brakes—that may take some getting used to.
